HAIR & SERVICE POLICIES

Thank you for choosing us. These policies are in place to protect our small business and ensure we can provide the best possible service.

1. Hair Purchase Policy (Wigs, Bundles & Extensions)

- Wigs, bundles, and extensions must be paid in full 14 days prior to your appointment. All hair is custom pre-ordered specifically for your service.

- Hair purchases are strictly non-refundable once ordered.

- Instalment plans are available if requested during booking.

- Client-supplied hair must be pre-approved by us, clean, and in excellent condition. Any additional work needed will incur extra fees.

2. Payment Policy

- A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your slot. This deposit will be applied to your total.

- Full payment for the entire service must be made at the start of your appointment, before any work begins.

- We accept cash, credit/debit cards.

- Hair cost is separate from service/installation fees.

Why we require full upfront payment:

We have had situations in the past where clients tried to leave without full payment or negotiate after the service was completed. Full payment upfront allows us to focus only on your service without any concerns.

If you are not satisfied with the result, you must speak up during the appointment so we can make adjustments. Any final decisions regarding refunds or adjustments will be made at our discretion before you leave.

3. Liability Waiver & Release of Claims

By booking with us, you agree to the following:

- You understand that wig and extension services involve chemicals, heat, adhesives, and sewing, which carry risks including (but not limited to) scalp irritation, allergic reactions, hair breakage, damage to your natural hair, and skin sensitivity.

- You release Mijas Dollhouse, its owner, and technicians from any liability for any adverse reactions, damage to your natural hair, or unsatisfactory results due to your hair’s pre-existing condition, previous treatments, or improper aftercare.

- We do not guarantee results. Every client’s hair is different. Final results depend on your natural hair texture, porosity, density, and previous chemical history.

- You agree to follow all aftercare instructions. Failure to do so may result in hair damage for which we will not be held responsible.

- Any colour matching is an approximation. Slight variations may occur.

You must confirm you have read and agree to this liability waiver at the time of booking.

4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

- All cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours before your appointment.

- Any cancellation, rescheduling, or no-show within 48 hours (including arrivals more than 15 minutes late) will result in a 100% cancellation fee of the full service cost.

- Your deposit will be forfeited immediately. The remaining balance will be charged to the card on file.

- Repeated cancellations or no-shows will result in you being unable to book future appointments.

Why we enforce this:

Our services are long and hair is pre-ordered specifically for you. Last-minute changes cause significant financial loss.

5. Late Arrival Policy

- You must arrive on time.

- Arrivals more than 10 minutes late will be treated as a no-show and charged the full 100% fee.

- We may attempt to accommodate up to 30 minutes late at our discretion, but a $15 late fee will apply and your service time will be shortened.

6. Guest Policy

- No extra guests are allowed (children, friends, family, etc.).

- Only service animals are permitted with prior approval.

7. Before Your Appointment

- Hair must be fully paid for 7 days in advance

- Service deposit must be paid (booking is not confirmed until received)

- Arrive with clean, dry, and detangled hair

- No extra guests

- Reschedule immediately if you are unwell (must be 48+ hours notice to avoid fees)

8. Additional Fees

- Same-day / squeeze-in: + $50

- Saturday & Sunday: + $50
- Public Holiday : + $75

- After-hours: + $30

8. Bridal & Bridal Shower Policy (Including Mobile Appointments)

We offer special bridal, bridal party, and bridal shower services both in-salon and as mobile appointments. These services require additional planning due to their custom nature and group requirements.

  • Booking Notice: Bridal and bridal party appointments must be booked at least 14 days in advance to allow sufficient time for hair selection, custom ordering, and scheduling.

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total estimated service cost is required at the time of booking.

  • Full Payment:The remaining balance must be paid in full the morning of the appointment date.

  • Hair Purchase: All hair must be fully purchased 7 days prior (see Hair Purchase Policy).

Mobile Appointments (Travel Service):

  • We come to you for bridal and bridal shower services (home, hotel, venue, etc.).

  • Travel Fee: $1.50 per kilometre (calculated from our salon location to the service address and return).

  • Tolls: All toll costs will be added to the final invoice.

  • Parking: Any parking fees at the venue will be passed on to the client.

  • Travel Time: Significant travel time may affect the number of services we can complete in one day. We will advise you during booking.

  • A minimum spend may apply for mobile services depending on location and group size.

Group Bookings: For bridal parties, a full consultation is required to confirm the number of clients, services, and styling needs. We reserve the right to limit group sizes based on time and location.

All other general policies (Cancellation & No-Show, Late Arrival, Payment, etc.) apply to bridal and mobile services.
